While I do not envy the person that is chosen to be the press secretary to the President of the United States, I must admit that it is a terribly important position. You’ve got a literal gaggle of reporters that want to know everything about everything.
That being said, the presidnet cannot talk to the press every single day so often times the pres secretary has to be the conduit to which information gets out there.
President-elect Donald Trump has already snagged RNC head Reince Priebus to be his chief of staff. Might as well take the RNC’s chief strategist, too. Contrary to recent speculation, it looks like popular Fox News Host Kimberly Guilfoyle won’t be the next White House press secretary after all.
An insider source has just revealed Sean Spicer will be offered the position. From The Hill: Republican National Committee (RNC) chief strategist Sean Spicer is the front-runner to be President-elect Donald Trump‘s White House press secretary.
A source familiar with the internal deliberations told The Hill that Spicer is “the leading contender” for the job as the spokesman of the new administration. But the source cautioned that no official decision has been made yet.
The Washington Examiner reported Thursday that Trump is expected to pick Spicer. Spicer, the longtime party spokesman and the GOP’s chief attack dog, has become one of Trump’s most vocal surrogates since the latter stages of the election campaign, splitting time with the Trump team since the Republican National Convention.
